  1. What a play! Can't believe he was able to throw out Young.
  2. Uh oh, a strikeout for d'Arnaud. He better not do too much more of that or he'll be no better than Arencibia. By the way, have you seen how bad he's been this spring? And don't get me started on the Mets other catchers.
  3. I could see Lawrie drawing plenty of hate from the casual fans if he has another slow start. For this board though, Sierra will be the guy if he runs into any significant playing time.
  4. Gotta get those emoticons right!
  5. That would be a good target, although I really don't see Oakland being out of the playoff picture. Lowrie is definitely someone to go after next winter, although a lot will depend on whether he can stay healthy again this year.
  6. Ah, so Happ is "a great starter" now.
  7. Tommy Hanson released by the Rangers. Nah, I'm not going to suggest picking up, but just noting how far he's fallen from being such a promising young pitcher a few years ago. Perhaps he can give the Astros a call...
  8. Are you kidding? I love a good throwdown between the old and new school posters.
  9. Wow, that was actually a pretty impressive throw by Kawasaki.
  10. Wow Hanley f***ed that up badly. Why would he try to take it himself?
  11. I love the way Hanley just swings out of shoes in every at bat.
  12. Wow, I didn't think Gordon was physically capable of hitting a ball that far.
  13. It's so weird to me that Juan Uribe had a 5 WAR season last year.
  14. I love when one of the "keys to the game" is to win.
  15. Brewers 1B has got to be one of the worst positions in the majors. Right up there with Blue Jays 2B.
  16. Just couldn't do 5am on a Saturday so I'm looking forward to this. Dee Gordon batting leadoff lmao
  17. Good, nobody wants to see Todd Redmond starting the home opener.
  18. "La la la the team messed with his mechanics but everything's fine now la la la" You can't just gloss over the fact that he couldn't even be a serviceable starter in Triple-A last year.
  19. This is exactly what I'm talking about. Sure there's a slim chance of Romero regaining his form and helping the team, but there's a much larger chance of him continuing to be awful, where starting him would just be throwing away games. If Romero has made real improvements then let's see him get some good results at Buffalo for a while. Rogers and Redmond aren't ideal but they are the better options for now. If the team wanted better pitchers than those guys they should have gone out and got some rather than grasping at straws like Romero and Drabek.
  20. Please stop using these examples, they are extremely rare exceptions. You can't possibly think the front office should make roster decisions while only considering the best possible outcome. That would be as dumb as valuing a couple spring training outings more than the last two full seasons.
  21. I wouldn't say better than Drew, but probably better than Goins.
