I want to make the World Series more than ever because I seriously believe that the winner of the Giants/Cubs series is going to the world series. So we either keep the curse going or we beat out the even year bs lol either way it sounds fun -

Donaldson is a slight advantage over Beltre right now. With a good hip and good legs he'd be way better, but its no secret that his health has hampered his offensive abilities right now

him batting ahead of travis when the lineup gets turned and not starting him is criminal. Travis literally loves, and successfully, goes the other way. And Zeke has enough speed it's likely he can beat out a throw from the catcher in case the hit and run is botched. -

It could be some weird Gibby tactics, but here's why I don't think that's the case: 1) Osuna was seen wincing hard after throwing the second last pitch 2) Pretty sure Gibbons wanted 2 innings from Osuna and Liriano would have to come in the inning after 3) Francisco liriano was warming between innings for like 3 half innings and throwing in the BP since Osuna came in. I think that should have been more than enough to be ready, no? Maybe it was a phantom injury because you can have your reliever throw as many pitches to get warmed as possible... but if that was the case why say something so unbelievable like a "stretch in the shoulder", that's not something you can "walk it off" lol that means something is serious there.

yeah lol I have no idea how he said he was OK and just felt tired, a stretch in shoulder does not sound good at all. They had to take a closer look at him today right?

You're damn right I'm high up on my team lol. But in all seriousness this is an evenly-matched-we-should-have-a-slight-edge series. Also in all seriousness I know Hamels is good but he put up a 3.85 xFIP and a 3.0 fWAR. Stroman pitched better than him this season and according to fWAR so has Happ and we know about Estrada and him being a FIP buster.... we should have the advantage starting in all but Darvish games so all but game 2 and game 5, which if we can score enough runs in games 1, 3 and 4 we should have the series before we see him a second time.

Dude that Grilli vs. Jones matchup lol first pitch swung on slightly down and outside pitch, second pitch even more outside he swung on, third pitch was even more outside and he checked his swing before throwing a fastball up and away and was overmatched

C - Martin 1B - Edwin 2B - Travis 3B - Donaldson SS - Tulo CF - Pillar RF - Bautista LF - Zeke DH - Saunders fapfapfap our infield kills their infield bar none with the exception of catcher. Their outfield is better I won't lie they slightly better CFer and while I still like Bautista more than Gomez, Choo trumps all our OFers. Beltran in his second half since acquired by Texas has been steaming poo just like Saunders. Also Darvish > Sanchez but Stroman, Happ, and Estrada > Hamels. Pen is good but our starters should be winning the matchups except when facing Darvish, so 3/5 advantage blue jays

Okay. Lets look at from August on then. Record is 33-23. -1 RD in that span. Pythag pins them at slightly below .500 in that same span. According to Fangraphs' offensive WAR in those months we're looking at 7.0 for the Rangers and 6.4 for us. Pitching WAR, 5.8 for the rangers and 7.5 for us. As for starters, Darvish is dominant and in his first 100 IP he's looked like his old self. But that's it. Once again going back to the #s, Stroman Happ and Estrada have all faired better than Hamels has (took Sanchez out because he'd be in the higher category with Darvish). Not to mention they have to go with Perez at best for game 3 and who ever we duel from the other 3 starters I mentioned we should be winning that. So even if they decide to go Hamels-Darvish-Perez-Hamels-Darvish, head to head pitching we have 3/5 matchups on lock on paper, even if we decide to use Sanchez once ala: Happ-Sanchez-Estrada-Stroman-Happ
