  1. He's not worth 14m I'd rather play Pillar in LF in 2015 at LG MIN. You would get better defence, sacrifice some offence and put the 14m Melky would get toward something else.
  2. If true, how can these conversations be carrying on? I wouldn't trade Stroman straight up for Price.
  3. Really? You can't argue there's some posters on here who are very well-read baseball-wise and some who aren't. Fair enough? Me personally, I think I'm pretty well-read, but learn stuff from others on here all the time. To me, the posters I'm learning from matter. Others who are trying to learn but don't provide anything meaningful, matter. People who come on here to stir s*** up and know very little don't matter. They don't matter on here and they don't matter in life.
  4. f*** off you Slurpy Dog, salty loving uphill Brett gardening, drano drinking Yankee Fart Sucking Salty Licking Let's GO Blue Jays sucking K..........
  5. He's one of those fans that would've abandoned the team. Just doesn't know what's going on beyond what he sees on the field.
  6. I guess if your plan is to gut the team down to nothing, which wouldn't make sense. There would be absolutely no reason to move Lawrie, Stroman or Hutch, which is already further ahead of what the Cubs ground the rebuild down to on the MLB team.
  7. I've been at 2. Philly '96 @ the Vet. Caught a ball off McGwire in the 5th deck LF and had another ball clang off my hands. Detroit in '05. My buddy that came with me, wanted nothing to do with being down in an open area trying to catch a ball, so I sat down the 3B line Upper Deck at Comerica pissed off. Unless I'm very sick or dead, will be heading down to Cincy next year. Wanted to be in Minny today & tomorrow, but my kitchen reno going on, just killed my bank account. The derby's are very fun (aside from '05). It's like Batting Practice with 50,000 people amped up watching guys all trying to hit jacks. The fun parts are the bombs that get hit, not necessarily the competiton between players. And I'd want to be in a spot where balls are being hit, not just be there to watch.
  8. I picked Stanton in the final with Cespedes, and Cespedes winning.
  9. Could Dickey refuse if Thole wasn't included?
  10. As it stands the Cubs have 5 spots on the diamond I'd prefer over what the Jays have or will going forward, all things considered commencing in 2015. Wellington Castillo over any catcher in the Jays system. Rizzo over Encarnacion @ 1B (If Baez gets shifted to 2B) Baez over anything in the Jays system Castro or Russell over Reyes @ SS Almora over Gose or Pompey in CF and maybe even Bryant over Lawrie @ 3B
  11. I was basing the window off the young players acquired (MLB control). In my ideal world, there wouldn't be a window. Moves would be made for the overall betterment of the franchise, for short and long term. Not a tidy little window of opportunity. What's fun about watching has-been players like you're saying above. Because teams aren't going to trade star players in their mid 20's for prospects. So you're essentially left fielding of team of players in their late 20's, early, mid & late 30's.....mostly beyond their prime, and paying a premium for what they did and not what they're doing. And I guess the Jays FO and fans were wrong. The Yankees and Sox weren't ripe for the picking after the Marlins and Dickey trade, otherwise you wouldn't be suggesting a similar idea to put the Jays were the Sox and Yankees were....ripe for the picking.
  12. I'd much rather be in the Cubs position than the Jays are in theirs.
  13. Again, I never said that. But I do know creating a tight little window of 2-3 years to win is pretty lame. Why not create an environment where they try to make the best moves for the overall well-being of the organization going forward opposed to temporary windows of time? Can you imagine if a company came out and said, we're gonna try and do our best over the next 3 years? My first question would be, what's gonna happen in year 4.
  14. I'd prefer the window of winning be closer to 5 or 6 years opposed to 1 or 2. You wouldn't?
  15. Are you following the conversation or just responding to the post?
  16. I'd prefer they extend him on a 2-3 year deal for less per year (2-20, 3-30) and then try and move him in the midst of the deal, instead of playing Russian Roulette with the QO every year and either keep overpaying him on one year deals or lose him for nothing by not offering the QO.
  17. If the Jays FO traded Bautista and Edwin and got back MLB ready pieces + other stuff = no firesale
  18. If you like conversing with retarded fans good for you. A couple years ago I sat near a group of late teens, early 20's who started out ridiculing the Yanks BP, which turned into threatening and throwing stuff at Graeme Lloyd. They must be good fans and no one should say anything about them.
  19. Um, I've been calling for Bautista to be traded for a few years now. The only time my stance changes on an opinion is if the opinion is wrong. My opinion on trading players doesn't change based on how a team is doing. And trading Bautista & Edwin isn't a complete fire sale.
  20. I'm saying before the year started I didn't have the Jays pegged to win the East. And as things stand right now, I still don't.
  21. Too much money, and the problem of keeping him year over year would persist and get worse.
  22. This team wasn't a playoff team before the season started and you think it is now? How's the lineup look for the next 3 weeks? If you polled this forum at any point ever going forward. The time to "sell" would be never.
  23. And I have every right to despise people for the way they act at a ball game, or in general. And they deserve to get called out.
