If guys are getting benched, its more likely a noticed behaviour being displayed and not Gibbons noticing Reyes not run all out on a play and decide to bench him. And if it is on one play, then the Manager is a little heavy handed, which isn't cool.

If they followed other teams they'd realize the Jays aren't the center of the Baseball Universe and there's other teams who don't win the World Series every year.

For me the trade off of difference between Hammel and what Nolin would/should pitch like is, I'd rather not be giving up a prospect, plus paying Hammel's salary for an early 30's pitcher. When we could have Nolin for dirt cheap and allocate the money saved to another need.

Because Hammel is pitching his brains out like he never has, doesn't mean buying on that high is a good idea. I'd rather have a cheap 25 year old in Nolin pitching for us now (when healthy) and going forward opposed to paying with a prospect and paying a salary to get a junky pitcher. A slightly worse Nolin for LG Min, is far better than Hammel at whatever he makes, even if it's LG Min.

I wouldn't trade Nolin straight up for Hammel.

He's not that good. IMO Hammel provides a small upgrade over what we currently have in the Regular Season and becomes even less valuable if we were to make the playoffs. And he's 32 in September. I want no part of an aging #4/5

At the expense of a playoff push this year. I'd rather the Jays keep the 3 kids and offer Maeda a 20+m per year multi year deal.

I'm not debating she can throw a knuckleball well. I just find it extremely hard to believe this 7 or 8 year old girl is at a park playing baseball or wherever, and Ol' Joe Niekro stumbled into her and the conversation of teaching a 7 or 8 year old how to throw a knuckleball came up. He has to know her family. This isn't some random 7 year old girl that Niekro just decided he was going to teach how to throw a knuckler.

So because of injuries in one year clear out the Front Office and dismiss what the Rays have done over the past how many years where they were a far superior team than the Jays on a shoestring budget. God you're a f***ing idiot.
