    That didn't bother me... that's the Jays fault, not Carpenter's It's Carpenter's fault that he would mow down the first 12 batters in order than fall apart.... again and again and again.... damn frustrating as a fan

    Pitching in spring training would be like pitching AAA or AA games, depending on the calibre of the lineup the other team puts out there? if that is the case, ST results are useful to evaluate pitchers. At the moment, there is reason for cautious optimism about RR. But he needs to be a bit better than he has been so far, and some other guys need to suck, to be with the big club opening day.

    Just compared RR 2013 spring training stats with 2014.... gives some reason for optimism Hopefully Romero can at least be the innings eater we thought Santana would be

    So sign him multi-year to play 2B. The Jays need for a 2B isn't going away.

    How big a deal is a no QO promise? Prospects are a crapshoot anyway Besides he puts more pressure on himself to perform because he has removed the draft pick compensation incentive of a QO

    If Santana on board, the much bigger need is a 2B upgrade. AA needs to clear some bodies and free up $$ to sign Drew, and this team is a true contender in my mind

    May be as simple as predicting time off for injury is imprecise. Tendency in these things is to be optimistic.
