    Well if we're picking two... previously picked McGowan - who doesn't like a great comeback story No 2 is Gose - because for me, robbing a player of a hit in the field is the same as getting a hit at the plate..... if we add up the balls Gose has gotten to that Rasmus would not, he's batting .340

    You are right, I just looked it up. The butcher boy or slash bunt is rarely used in MLB. More common in low level ball. Which does not mean it would not be an effective approach for Gose in some situations.

    True but I hate this mentality. The attrition rate of prospects is so high, you need like 6 pitching prospects in order for 1 to make it.
