  1. Yep Let Melky walk, sign Fernandez, Pompey replace Melky in OF = better team now and future
  2. Gose CF, Pompey LF for RH pitching Pompey CF, Mayberry Jr LF for LH pitching Want no part of Pillar other than AAAA depth
  3. Anyone know percentage of MLB relievers that were MILB relievers and percentage that were former or failed MLB starters?
  4. Not happening unless they sign an Ace
  5. Taijuan Walker, Chris Taylor, Danny Farquhar, and Michael Saunders.... and Bautista and Lind are yours
  6. Seattle wants a corner OF that can hit I'd be looking to dangle Bautista and rob them blind
  7. I'm not convinced Hutch is going to be better than a #4. He had his struggles in 2014 and after his first full year through the league, hitters will fare better against him in 2015. His stuff is not overpowering and he will succeed when his command is on, but often is not. Stroman has dynamite stuff, not concerned about him at all. SP worries more than RP for 2015. Cannot expect the same good health, and real risk of a drop in results from those not named Stroman and Sanchez.
  8. according to some, a guy who completed a first year stats course can be a baseball GM
  9. Alomar, Stieb, Halladay, Delgado, possibly Key
  10. should have kept Hech....... would be easier to get these guys signed with a Cuban already on board
  11. I rather the Jays not attempt the one and done route, but the perennial contender route. at least then even if they lose a single PS game in a blowout one year, at some point they will make it through. this was the beauty of the 1987 to 1993 period.... and why the jays were near the top in attendance
  12. Should not expect the 2014 the SP had will be repeated in 2015. More likely it will be worse. jays do not have a contender calibre starting 5 and depth
  13. got to figure the combined WAR of Stroman, Lawrie, and Pompey in their pre-FA prime is 10, minimum. Donaldson is almost 29, in his prime now. He good for 6-7 WAR. would not do that trade, no way
  14. Why should that matter? You are getting paid, and if you are a provincial enforcement officer like it sounds like, you are getting paid well. As a matter of personal integrity and professional pride employees should give their best effort everyday. What's the point of a life of mediocrity, doing the minimum required to keep a job?
  15. No incentive? You aren't getting paid?
  16. Nothing wrong with employees expressing dissent internally as long as it is done respectfully and management's decision on the matter is respected. Criticizing management in the media is wrong, unless its whistleblowing of illegal or unethical activity. In some places/professions the employee is protected when doing so. An employee that has had enough can leave (default on contract in Bautista's case... penalties apply) or demand a trade. The ones to show management they are f*** ups are the clients - the fans, or the shareholders as represented by Rogers board.
  17. Massive overpay
  18. This thread is gay
  19. Gose gets my vote
  20. http://sports.nationalpost.com/2014/09/29/toronto-blue-jays-jose-bautista-melky-cabrera-is-gone-but-dalton-pompey-has-just-arrived/ Bautista weighs in.... again dissin management Trade him while his value is high.... Cubbies could be interested and have surplus young position prospects
  21. Good job man.... i'll be done in 8 years at 57 yrs old with 100K/year pension
  22. no s*** Sherlock just stating my opinion on what should be done I know you are a kid, the immature barbs are forgiven
  23. looked to me he showed up for ST a little on the heavy side.... will be interesting to see his condition come February
  24. this presser proves AA knows as much about baseball as a casual fan he's a P/R guy primarily
