    He's not a once in a generation player. EE and Bautista have very similar hitting stats. Two on the same team in the same generation. Homerism. He's a good, not great player, who had one very good season (did not get MVP). Not even close to HOF.

    He has 1745 hits, is injury prone, and past his prime. Unlikely he reaches 3000.

    Backload an offer to Lester.... keep him from the Sox, money will be freed up with MB, RR off the books end of 2015. MB is the bridge to one of Sanchez or Norris (Osuna?) in 2016.
