  1. This is easy. Bautista not going anywhere so who's the next clubhouse dork? Dickey, Thole + to Texas for Profar Profar 2B, Travis LF Sign Shields
  2. 1. Jose Reyes, SS 2. Russell Martin, C 3. Jose Bautista, RF 4. Edwin Encarnacion, 1B 5. Josh Donaldson, 3B 6. Navarro DH 7. Aoki or Saunders LF 8. Izturis/Devon 2B 9. Dalton Pompey, CF 3/4 bottom 4 hitters are switchers.... how do you manage against this lineup lol
  3. Damn slept through the excitement.... amazing deal. AA's comments on durability and the clubhouse culture shaped this deal.
  4. What? What happened?? Do you know something???
  5. Votto coming home
  6. Bautista or Lawrie or both would not surprise me. Both seem to be d-bags. Rumours of AA shopping Bautista in the past.
  7. Scherzer, Lester, Shields, McCarthy all available Come on AA
  8. Elliott had an article on this yesterday
  9. Phillips 2B, Reyes SS, and EE 1B is cringeworthy.... Jays need a good fielding 2B not named Goins
  10. I'm leaning more towards Adrubal Cabrera at this point. Lawrie to 3rd. Headley endurance on the turf has to be a concern.
  11. Not really. Nolin's ceiling is middle of the rotation but is more likely a bullpen piece. A good low level prospect has about 10% chance of reaching the majors.
  12. In the context of what to give up for him. You don't trade an ace calibre arm like Sanchez for a guy coming off a year like that.
  13. would rather part with Nolin and a lesser piece, say DSJ
  14. Strasburg is entering his peak and has a shot... 242 last year
  15. Not enough pitching to contend for WS
  16. if the 'stros do indeed want a reliever could we part with Loup + minor pieces?
  17. Another guy that declined early - Vernon Wells
  18. Martin >>> Bruce Stanton deal is just stupid and should not be used as a benchmark
  19. What?!? Cincy will jump at Sanchez
  20. Did Yan Gomes look like a MLB all star catcher in the minor leagues? Minor league numbers can be misleading. Some guys have great minor league numbers and cant stick in MLB, others have mediocre or crappy numbers and become good MLB players. I wouldn't base decisions on minor league numbers, especially with an elite arm.
  21. number of things with ghomeshi including using corporate phone/computer inappropriately and harassment at the workplace
  22. Actually that's not true. People can be fired for what they do on their own time, if it is harmful to the employer.
  23. Should be able to ramp it up in short outings, a la D-Mac
  24. Drabek 2.73 BB/9 in 32 games Buffalo.... could be a viable bullpen piece
