  1. From what I've read, Lawrie arm > Donaldson arm. Donaldson superior in other areas (Lawrie range to the left is elite, not so his range to the right).
  2. Not to mention an OF of Saunders LF, Pompey CF, and Bautista RF. Bautista range leaves a little to be desired, but overall that's a great OF D.
  3. are you off the sauce or something
  4. I lost almost 20 in 3 days. Pancreatitis
  5. Looks like media drama to me
  6. Janssen too mouthy
  7. I like Infante, 4 years ago. But not now, he's gonna be Izturis soon. Tortilla is better for less money probably.
  8. Goins .390 slugging? f*** that would be amazing
  9. They need another starter. Floyd IMO is the better risk than Anderson or Morrow.
  10. I wouldn't go that far Also, welcome
  11. Tortilla has a rocket arm according to scouting reports. That's more reliable then you watching a couple of videos. Goins is an AAAA player. Good enough for spot duty.
  12. Hey, a thread about Goins.... it must be the offseason. Sign Ichiro, then use that to convince Tortilla to sign Pillar Buffalo
  13. Does this mean Goins is the 25th man and Izturis is out of the picture?
  14. Gavin Floyd anyone? Steamer projects 1.2 WAR from 22 GS. If he can stay healthy can exceed Happ's value. And Floyd could be had fairly cheap. We know AA has liked him in the past.
  15. Liriano, McCarthy gone, Santana possibly. Jays gonna strike out on B list pitchers? They need more pitching or the big acquisitions are likely for naught!
  16. Just figure this should go here Edit: Can someone tell me what i did wrong? No idea. Owings please!
  17. Boras talking to the Jays. Has Beeston already cleared out his office. By the way, Beeston never played baseball.
  18. Relief pitcher stats are quite volatile for a couple of reasons - - smaller sample size means luck/chance plays a much more significant role in the stats than for SP and position players - they are often replaced with another reliever after giving up a few runs (as opposed to a SP that might give up 2 in the 1st inning, and another in the 2nd, and leave in the 7th after giving up a respectable 3). So they have less chance to 'modulate' their stats Hence the year to year volatility mentioned on here Need to use at least 2-3 years of data and rely more on scouting grades, pitch ratings IMO
  19. Can Deshields be traded for and then added to the protected list?
  20. Sanchez ~ Ward Holland ~ Henke Already halfway there! Being facetious here. Sanchez needs to be starting in Buffalo and available when needed for the rotation.
  21. Agree about DeShields.. > Goins and Izturis? But behavior issues.... flies against what AA is doing
  22. Agree. However, I have a real hankering for the days of Ward and Henke. If the Jays had the lead after 7 innings of play, the game was over. So much easier on the starters.
  23. Pillar may be a better 4th OF than Rajai when defense is factored in.
  24. is Reddick a fit though? we would have too many OF again maybe KC send a prospect Oak way to even it up some
  25. 3 way with KC, Reddick to KC, Holland to Jays, prospects to Oak?
