  1. Agreed. If a guy is throwing well, leave him in. Don't take the chance the next reliever doesnt have his good stuff.
  2. need a double play here..... tough with speed on the basepaths
  3. Loup was ok in low leverage situations in his career...... he's misplaced as setup guy
  4. dont understand Loup getting the setup role handed to him.... he hasn't been that good
  5. What.... i'm not allowed to dislike a 'professional' ballplayer that works out 15 mins a day, sucked balls during the guaranteed years of his contract, and only improved when the option years kicked in?
  6. All things considered, I'll take Navarro over Lind on this team. Switchhitter (saves bench) / cheaper / sends Thole to AAA outweigh the other things
  7. OK, maybe should have said Navarro better baserunner Not convinced Lind is faster than Navarro though. Eye test says no
  8. Navarro had 3 SB in 2014 and 13 for his career. Lind had 0 SB in 2014 and 6 for his career. Navarro provides far more defensive value at C than Lind does at 1B and its not even close. Also, do not equate fat with lack of speed. Kirby Puckett?
  9. While waiting..... Is this a better team with Navarro or with Lind? Navarro - hits from both sides / does not need platoon partner, backup C sending Thole to minors, runs faster than Lind, better at his defensive position than Lind is at his, durable, cheaper Lind - very good against righties, abysmal against lefties, needs platoon partner, gets hurt often, terrible defensively at a non-premium position, mouthy
  10. I didn't say he is breaking out.... way too early He's a good candidate tho
  11. re: Snider Recall there was a time, early in his 1st full season with the Jays when he was hitting everything. Then got hurt and was out for over 2 months, came back and was not the same. Always had the talent, too bad the Jays mismanaged him.
  12. If Pillar continues to hit and becomes a starter option, all 4 of Pompey, Pillar, Bautista, Saunders should be in there almost every day. Smoak and Navarro are the guys that will lose playing time.
  13. d'Arnaud 2-4 today with a triple My pick for breakout player of the year
  14. was that the blonde in the I love Dickey t shirt i gave her an 8
  15. Wondering if we will see Castro / Osuna today... f***ing hope so
  16. Jays have already had their quota of freak injuries for the year, let's hope!
