    We should be happy if 2 of Norris, Sanchez, Osuna, Castro, Foley, Smoral establish themselves as MLB starters Even Norris is no sure thing. The list of top pitching prospects that crashed and burned is very very long. Shields is a workhorse that is a nice replacement for MB as rotation anchor

    Jays need to get into the Cuban baseball scene in a big way. With unrestricted travel Canada-Cuba, they have an advantage, currently, on American teams. Find the Cuban equivalent of Epy Guerrero. If US-Cuba relations fully thaw, Jays can then be the first to set up a baseball academy

    The offense should be stronger overall meaning more PAs and seeing more bullpen pitchers, and they should be coming to the plate with men on base more often than previous years So i'm expecting an uptick.... 40-40-30 = 110

    Poor starting pitching performance leading to an overworked bullpen. I'm not optimistic enough to expect a repeat of the SP performance and health of 2014.

    Projected to be top 10 in his age 26 season. At his peak, he should be top 5. That's elite to me.

    Yes. BOTH d'Arnaud and Syndergaard project to be elite at their positions. Bucerra, who knows. Let's see how this plays out.

    Interesting that in their 34 years of drafting, the Jays have never had the #1 pick A couple of #2s in the late 70's (Lloyd Moseby, Garry Harris (??), and Augie Schmidt). Schmidt was a can't miss, bluechip, guaranteed superstar that did squat.

    Dickey trade wasn't needed to avoid losing 90-100 games. I literally hit the roof when the trade was made. It is very likely this will be the worst Blue Jays trade ever.

    Not high, but expect him to carve out a MLB career as a swingman He had a couple of very good starts for the Jays, the talent is undeniable

    a $120M payroll is insufficient if you try to fill out a roster with expensive players in their FA years. To win, the team needs to balance the FA salaried players with cost controlled youth. this is why the 2013 trades were so f***ing dumb. at least now in 2015 there are some young players that can contribute without costing an arm and leg
