  1. most predictions are what we can expect on average from Sanchez this year but he might be a guy that is very inconsistent - either very good or very bad, depending on his control that day
  2. timlin's sinker was very effective until batter's learned to recognize and lay off it, which wasn't long i have that well down the list
  3. MB can work with any catcher. Not a consideration at all in a Navarro decision. I like what Navarro brings to the team, particularly as a switchhitter. But if a good reliever can be had for Navarro, move him. Better yet, Navarro and couple of prospects like DSJ and Smoral for a SP, with Sanchez moving to BP or Buffalo. Thole is fine as a backup catcher. But cut loose, will not happen unless he shits the bed.
  4. Jimmy Key and Duane Ward are glaring omissions Ward's mid 90's FB with movement was unhittable when he was on (which was most of the time until injuries) Key's changeup and control was the closest to Maddux I have seen Stieb's slider for me. Some consider the best slider in baseball history
  5. No way. Olerud's swing is up there with Ted Williams. Rasmus pretty smooth but basically a pull hitter. Olerud smooth effortless swing and used whole field
  6. 5 2/3 ip, 5h, 3bb, 3er, 4k
  7. We know the Jays like to hire former players..... future MiLB coach
  8. Reyes SS Martin C Bautista 1B EE DH Donaldson 3B Saunders RF Pompey CF Pillar LF Travis 2B is f***ing awesome
  9. wrt the OF, remember Bautista can play 1B can see Pillar, Pompey, Saunders OF, Bautista 1B, EE DH as a regular thing
  10. remember AA is holding Navvy in reserve, to be traded when there is a BP need or a trade of prospects for a SP with Sanchez going to BP
  11. There are not many bullpens with better long relievers.
  12. You have way too much time on your hands. SR is a good poster.
  13. IBB to put the DP or force at home in play, yes you do that 10/10 Bring in Cecil in 8th, 0 outs, bases loaded, up by 1, yes the right move Replace Castro with Loup to start the 8th. Wrong move by Gibby. Castro was finding the zone and did not seem bothered by the weather. The advantage of Loup against lefties is outweighed by the risk he doesn't have his stuff, when you know Castro does. IMO.
  14. hopefully this is not going to be a regular thing this year
  15. Loup needs to be a LOOGY only....none of this setup guy s***
  16. This is f***ed up. Supposed to lose by Reyes throwing the ball away. WTF
  17. part weather, part not seeing much game action with the off days?
