  1. Not talking about prior to the Marlins trade dimwit.
  2. he provided $4.2M in value, paid $22M, and declining rapidly.... a negative asset if there ever was one my point of course is we didnt get tulo as a result of the marlins trade, we got tulo by giving up 3 very good pitching prospects, at least one of which will become a quite valuable MLB player
  3. you realize Reyes was a negative asset at time of Rockies trade?
  4. We will likely see 4 or 5 different guys at leadoff throughout the season. By August though, I hope to see Pompey as the man, sporting a .340+ OBP I'm a believer in Pompey hit tool and plate approach, he just needs to find his MLB comfort zone
  5. In the lead for the worst poster award
  6. He's just like a bunch of guys on here

especially when the 2nd is Ottawa's... could be a high 2nd in 2017
  8. 2016 good, 2017 not bad, 2018 sucks Only 2016 good enough to take WS from the Cubbies of the world
  9. I'm speaking the reality of an aging roster (oldest in MLB?) and a bare farm system. It won't be pretty in a few years.
  10. Years of mediocrity coming up after 2016
  11. I see a 5/120 if he hits the market
  12. More than a decade, really? Loser.
  13. Can't see Jays signing two 1B/DH types for > $20M each. I want EE - younger, should be a bit cheaper, and is comfortable with the DH role. Have a hard time seeing Bautista accepting a DH role.
  14. Silly. There is a yacht with a cost of $1Billion+. Rich folk always need more money for the bigger, better things on their wish list.
  15. Worst f***ing thing to happen would bat Pillar leadoff at the start of the year, then almost guaranteed event out of necessity drop him down to bottom 3rd, and have him pout for a month. Best f***ing thing to happen is he bats bottom third from the get go, no complaints, plays great D, puts up a 3-4 WAR season.
  16. Sure you have to consider the influence on the lineup psychology. The primary consideration though is getting the top guys up to the plate with someone on base and one out or less. I would consider Travis, Tulo, Martin, Bautista, and possibly Saunders/Pompey for leadoff before considering Pillar. Pillar can bat 9th and be the "2nd leadoff hitter"
  17. No debate, just a couple of posters with their heads in their asses.
  18. Pillar is the worst choice for lead off, you don't want your best hitters coming up already down an out. I don't care how fast he is. If Pillar somehow gets his OBP up past .350, it can be considered.
  19. as for who hits 9th, want to see Pompey get lots of reps there, and get used to hitting in front of the big boys.... groom him to be leadoff for many years to come
  20. agree with going with nicknames strongly recommend - Dick
  21. Got to wonder why the Canadian NHL teams are consistently worse than the American teams. Is it as simple as - the Canadian teams don't necessarily have to be good to draw in fans?
  22. Sky's the limit for him. 5 tools and might be the best athlete in MiLB.
  23. I expect EE will be kept. Hard to see the defense minded Shapiro keeping Bautista around. Could see a Pompey, Pillar, Alford OF in 2017. Tulo moved if Jays out of it.
