  1. I'm 100% certain he does. Whether he understands it is much less certain.
  2. He's already better than at least half the '16 pen.
  3. Where did i say i am sure? All I said is he has time, whether he develops one or not we will see.
  4. He just turned 23 yrs old, FFS. Plenty of time to develop a 3rd pitch. You would make a terrible GM
  5. Sanchez will get plenty of starts for the Jays in 2016. Have said it before and will say it again. He is one of two Jays with ace potential, Stroman being the other. How close he comes to his potential only time will tell, and he's quite young yet. Deal with it.
  6. He's saying every baseball player is a rocket scientist. Possible, I guess.
  7. If either Floyd or Hutch show they've 'got it', Sanchez to Buffalo and Chavez to the pen.
  8. No you can't. Also, the proper question is who will be the 5th starter in 2016, and the answer is "all of the above"
  9. I see him as having more of a chance to breakout (AS, Cy Young contention) than to breakdown. My breakdown candidate is Bautista.
  10. Plan the parade
  11. My pick is Smoak
  12. a healthy Saunders is a starting OF - we could see games with Pompey, Pillar, Saunders OF, Bautista 1B, EE DH
  13. voted Sanchez but should be Hutch
  14. So stupid to make a decision on Toronto or Buffalo for Pompey based on how he does in spring training
  15. The question has been answered, Gruber was right. Time to lock this one up.
  16. C'mon man this is the bold predictions thread
  17. Ryan Goins amasses 2.5 WAR Aaron Sanchez amasses 3+ WAR BTS head explodes
  18. Doubtful in a contending year. This is a depth signing, nothing more. He's next to Delabar on the reliever depth chart.
  19. burlingtonbandit is the only one saying this
  20. Revere, Austin Jackson type
  21. I would sign one of EE or JB, preferably EE. Whoever is signed, the role is a 1B/DH. Bautista may not accept this, in which case good bye. Roll with an OF of Pompey, Pillar, Saunders, B grade FA ($10-$12M AAV) in 2017. When Alford ready mid 2017 or beginning 2018, the OF is Pompey, Pillar, Alford.
  22. The real question is, will the payroll be increased to support these salaries. Spending more than half of payroll on 4 players in their decline years is not a particularly good approach.
  23. Both for sure
