  1. gonna be fun arguing all season which one should be resigned
  2. guy i know bought a Jeep 4x4.... a few days after he bought it someone parked too close to the Jeep.... got his car keyed all the way around cars are killing humanity i tell ya
  3. Umm, EE can play a passable 1B. Bautista is replacement level or worse as a RF. Surprising to some but not to me (my trusty veteran eye), EE seems to have the better baserunning stats on Fangraphs.
  4. You don't know this. Another owner may calculate a lower payroll would max out profit.
  5. plus, hookers are cheaper
  6. at least until Pompey and Alford get knocked out by Superjew
  7. mediocre means .500 neither good or bad good offseason would have liked to see some good prospects coming this way... everyone talks about Donaldson trade last season, but the trade for the prospect Travis potentially the more significant one long term
  8. not wrong at all.... it would be incredible
  9. never said he would... w/o Bautista the Jays still have more than enough offence
  10. Of course... Bautista will be 36 going into 2017 season. Think about this rationally. The >$20M that would be due to Bautista can buy a lot of things.
  11. How Alford performs in 2016 is most definitely a factor. He OBP .400 at AA, the Jays don't even consider resigning JB for what it takes.
  12. not attempting to sign bautista until the offseason also gives Jays a chance to see what alford can do at AA/AAA, perhaps even with the Jays after Sept 1 nothing wrong with paying 2/3 of your OF $500K each
  13. 3 pages more than enough for this thread
  14. Possibly (probably?) one kick at the can, whereas the Cubs will make the postseason several times over the next while.
  15. Or spits on an umpire, karate kicks the pitcher, intentionally beans a seagull, eyeblacks "tu ere maricon"? Have no issue with Bautista..... my issue rests with Jays FO. Bautista should have been moved in 2013 for a huge haul, Marlins and Dickey trades should never have been made. Jays had a chance to be the Cubs of the AL and AA/Beest blew it.
  16. i'm sure he followed the plan the BJs put together also, your 2nd and 3rd bullets are closely related
  17. he just needs to control it. command not critical when you have that velocity and movement. key for him is developing a 3rd pitch - apparently was working on a changeup in the offseason
  18. someone needs to start the 2016 prediction thread, so i can log my prediction of a 3WAR+ season for Sanchize
  19. OK fine, i thought he was referring to BJMB posters. I didn't think anyone here would care about what casuals and shills think.
  20. It is possible for men to continue to grow (naturally add muscle mass) until they are 25, although most stop naturally adding muscle mass by 21.
  21. Held on to him too long, smart team would have moved him 2 years ago
  22. Sanchez more likely than Hutch to take a big step. Sanchez stuff dynamite, Hutch stuff a bit meh.
