  1. Pretty absolute, how sure are you that Sanchez will never be a starting pitcher?
  2. Thanks, that's good to know
  3. Syndergaard or Sanchez debate not over
  4. Wrong. I made the comp because I watched every Chris Carpenter start with the Jays, and Sanchez starts reminds me of those. And I don't see similarities with Halladay at all.
  5. He's added a cutter, working on a change, and is repeating his delivery more consistently than before.
  6. Watching Sanchez reminds me of Chris Carpenter's early years. Carpenter struggled with control then, only found command several years later with the Cardinals, was never a high K rate guy, known for inducing weak contact. Carpenter had a two seam fastball, 12-6 curve, cutter early, added 4 seam and change later for a 5 pitch mix. Sanchez doesn't quite have Carpenter's height (~2" difference) and has a couple MPH more on the fastball.
  7. As a reliever, career: xFIP - Sanchez: 3.15, League: 3.72 K/9 - Sanchez 6.98, League: 6.34 BB/9 - Sanchez 2.43, League 3.13 Sanchez >> League as a reliever AND Sanchez is 23 and only getting better The comp suxxxxx
  8. From the hive the message has gone from bust to gas can to to Brandon League comp. Progress. Yet, as a reliever Sanchez has been >> League.
  9. 40 years of watching baseball
  10. you are such a negative nancy, reflective of your emotional intelligence. posters make projections on here all the time, yourself included.
  11. Let's put this debate to rest.......... until his next appearance
  12. is it too late for a vote
  13. I apply the higher level concept of adjusting my views based on the evidence. Don't be so rigid.
  14. If Sanchez had given up 4 HR, 8 runs, 6 walks over those 9 innings, you'd say nothing cuz SSS and all that? Somehow I doubt it.
  15. wouldn't matter semi serious question tho.... there is the illusion of anonymity on the net, but what one posts on public websites is subject to the same legalities as if you yell it out at yonge and bloor?
  16. what is ok and not ok to say on here is it ok to say i'd like to ream Hazel, for example
  17. He has a lot to learn (such as an effective change), and Buffalo is the better place to learn it. If he's not in the starting rotation he needs to be in Buffalo. Edit: and actually if he does develop an effective 3rd pitch, I can see him getting up into the 8-9K/9IP territory
  18. I can sense the anger and frustration in this post. It's OK to be wrong now and then.
  19. All women love anal, those that don't just haven't tried it yet
  20. I have to admit, I cried when he ran in from the bullpen after 2 years on the DL
  21. if he hasn't established himself as a regular MLB starter by the 2018 season, safe to say he never will
  22. I've always said that sanchez may not reach his potential or even become a viable starter. What I have said is he is 21 (or 22, or 23) with an elite arm and there is plenty of time for him to reach his potential. Some on here want to get rid of him and put him in the bullpen and leave him there. That is wrong.
  23. It would be awesome if statistics could foretell the future. Bye bye world problems. A thousand times regulars on here have pointed to Sanchez minor league stats and proclaim 'he suxxx', 'trade him while he still has value'. Just f***ing dumb.
  24. was Floyd signed to a minor league contract with an invite to ST? edit - its a MLB deal
