  1. I'm taking into account the prospects You can always dumpster dive for a backup C
  2. IL guys count too... with the move to 26 man roster, 33 max at cutdown including IL guys, not more than 23 MLB, not less than 21 MLB BTS will surely correct me if wrong
  3. fully expect this hard to attract players to a 95 loss team in a less desirable playing location Jays don't really have the surplus assets to trade for pitching either, catching position excluded i dont expect any noteworthy acquisitions will occur
  4. Its simple enough to estimate present value of contract offers, whatever the terms. Front loading doesn't happen often because teams generally do not have the budget room. Jays are in an uncommon situation with significant budget surplus.
  5. BTS really likes the Rays.
  6. And for what
  7. Shatkins will never give Ryu $88/4 or $100/5. $100/4? You crazy? Ryu has a considerably higher risk of falling apart than Tulo when he was acquired.
  8. That is pressing, but I may have waiver pick #1 (I own connorp pick) and may want to use it in trade
  9. Has the waiver draft order been set? Here is what I have in terms of overall standings last year: Booze Hounds 33 Hours Acuna Matata Whole Lotta Spooge Ye Be Judged Mike Trout's Team JG34 Danger's Dirty 25 Big League Jew East York Heat Bad Hombre Eze Abomination Speedy Kingfiller Trust the Process Kike do you love me TP for my Byung Ho Connors Bashers Major League Ho edited to reflect Danger's team name
  10. Assuming no further acquisitions. Current SP depth chart: Roark Anderson Thornton Shoemaker Kay/Borucki/Waguespack/Zeuch Slot Pearson in there somewhere by mid-July. At that point, the rotation is 1 good arm from sufficient for a contender.
  11. No more or less than anyone else Spanky!
  12. Term/deferment is why i took the under
  13. It's awesome. Jays should take on Pujols contract with a real nice sweetener so the Angels can go get Cole.
  14. i'll take the under only cuz i think it will be a lengthy term
  15. Bundy is not mid-tier. He's well into the bottom half of MLB starters. Chase Anderson and Bundy are peers.
  16. His numbers look pretty damn good to me. Maybe you were expecting him to pitch like Doc????
  17. Phils non-tender Cesar Hernandez, has played 2B, SS, 3B, CF over his career Would be a good pickup and stick Drury in Buffalo until he learns to hit again
  18. 1.5 fwar in 2019, projected for 1.4 fwar in 2020. Most of the value from fielding. Noodle bat 85 wRC+ Hard pass.
  19. I will quit BJMB if the Jays sign him.
  20. Hmmm.... someone knows something about his arm that we don't
  21. Seems almost everyone here, myself included, agrees with the bolded. There are a couple of approaches the FO can take. The approach is going to depend in part on the cost signing free agents, the risk, and the premium if any needed to get a FA to come to Toronto. Whatever happens, I trust that Shatkins has done their due diligence.
  22. He definitely could be a good value signing who could return Buehrle type numbers for the next few years.
  23. Haven't missed any point. I'm still curious on what your strategy would be if you were Atkins.
  24. For sure Wheeler will get more, but the gap between the two is not as great as you are suggesting.
