  1. This may shock some, but I would do that deal for 4 years of Castillo control.
  2. Went Tatis, Acuna, Soto and I went with Trout over Mookie. The other guys were surprised at the Trout pick, for some reason.
  3. After this, Groshans will go down to A+ (most likely) and work his ass off. Adversity is sometimes a good thing.
  4. Although Frazier might actually have the albino gene, so there's that.
  5. f***ing millionaires complaining, the worst.
  6. Don't worry about it. Skinny Vladdy can take over 3B if Biggio flops.
  7. probably what i will do, get the pick just ahead of the other blue jays homer in the league (members are from across North America)
  8. So I've got the 4th pick in a new fantasy, keep forever league. I'm actually considering taking skinny Vladdy 4th. Am I crazy?
  9. No. Had a chance to post a low number, cold putter down the stretch.
  10. Agreed but it's more probable he gets the velo increase than not.
  11. Yes. Conners on the move. If he can get to -13, who knows.... Edit - heck of a shot, Conners!
  12. SWR is 20, he should have a couple of ticks yet to come on the FB. Agree with Spank
  13. Might see a top, shank, or slice one or twice in a full tournament. Not three times in 5 minutes.
  14. Holy crap is this the Amateur Player's Championship or what? Terrible shots.
  15. Spring training doesn't really tell us anything other than who is healthy and who is not.
  16. With so many good hitters, playing the matchups to set the order can make sense. Guy with a plus plus changeup on the mound? Move your hitters that don't do well against the changeup down the order. This kind of approach means everyone is playing throughout the order, so no guys getting pissed off hitting in the bottom third all the time.
  17. Dodgers outfielder Andrew Toles has been battling mental health issues that have kept him from playing professionally since 2018, but the club still renewed his contract for this season, according to Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register. Toles is on the restricted list, meaning he won’t collect his salary, but the team’s decision could enable him to maintain healthcare access, Plunkett notes. Corporate responsibility at its best.
  18. Greinke actually has a good chance. Over 200 wins and had quite a good peak. Cole if he can stay healthy for 6 more years. Big if.
  19. That was mentioned weeks ago, after the signing.
  20. I had no idea about this secret society.
  21. It's time for the annual sports gut threads.
  22. Hand eye coordination is off the charts. Any sport involving hitting a ball with a club. Baseball, golf, cricket, ping pong, badminton. We have a true mult-sport athlete on our hands.
  23. "Pull dat ball!" is coming back. You hear that, Olerud?
  24. It's a business. Teams hold back players to gain an extra year all the time. May or may not happen with Kirk, we will see.
