  1. Certainly for a while yet. A lot to be written, but he might never play another MLB game.
  2. f***ing weird reading Olerud talking about "pull dat ball!"
  3. I suspect Bauer will remain suspended until his legal jeopardy is resolved, which could take a while if there are other women besides the 2 so far, and MLB will make a decision on any further suspension at that time. Will Bauer pitch in 2022? 50/50? Who knows.
  4. Yandy Diaz avail for a pick upgrade. Useful high OBP 1B/3B guy.
  5. Extenuating circumstances. Also, I doubt the officer handled / de-escalated the situation they way they are supposed to.
  6. Freeman hit for the cycle tonight
  7. Opening posture..... owners will settle for 120 and 230 or something, probably
  8. You assume King is offended. You don't have to be offended to know something is improper and deserves consequences. Every f***ing employee knows there are lines not to be crossed.
  9. Probability Merryweather gets hurt during rehab - 75%
  10. Buxton coming back next week is just the extra juice Spooge needs. True I could use an SP upgrade though.
  11. Too bad Jays didn't cash in on Semien and Ray. Remember the Blues trading Stastny at the deadline when they were just outside the playoffs. They won the Cup the next season.
  12. Yes, I think he's avoided Indy ball, for now.
  13. Thinking on it. But just promoted Josiah Gray and Yar comes back today. Can only roster so many pitchers.
  14. There will be other needs in addition to the Teo/Vlad/Bo. Ray may be gone after this season and Ryu will not be around forever. The bullpen needs a reliable high leverage guy. Some other team will have a greater need / budget for a Ramirez. It's a poor financial fit, IMO. Not worth moving potentially elite controlled assets for.
  15. It is possible to work for 30 years without any stupidity that would get you fired.
  16. Jays have plenty of players that ideally would be signed long term when Ramirez is due for his mega contract.
  17. Biggio is an above average bat (110-115 wrc+) that can play multiple positions adequately. That's a very valuable player. He's been a bit unlucky and plagued by injuries this year, that is all.
  18. True but it doesn't need to be a star Jays don't have the budget to resign. Ideally, surplus roster assets should be moved to upgrade the team where it is needed, and we all know where the need was/is. Or for more prospects (the Rays way).
  19. Relievers are f***ing volatile, useful one year, absolute s*** the next, or in Dolis' case, useful one year, s*** all of the others. Dolis has been s*** for months now, no idea why he is still around.
  20. This team is going to have a number of expensive contracts very soon. Gimme the cost controlled players over Ramirez. And yes I am aware he is on contract through 2023. The Rays do it right with a low budget, Jays can do the same with a higher budget.
  21. Looks like Bassitt got hit pretty good.
  22. Only if the Jays are still in it. If not, Springer likely starts getting ready for 2022.
  23. lol, you've got to be kidding
