    As long as Springer and others need DH time, carrying 3 catchers does not make sense. I don't see how Tapia gets more playing time than he would anyway if one of the 3 catchers is moved.

    Papi WAR was depressed because he provided nil defensive value. WAR is the best measure of a player's value to the team. With the latest tater, J-Rod has the highest WAR of any Mariner, and in addition has 19 steals that WAR does not account for. That creates a pretty clear separation from France. After his initial rookie struggles, J-Rod has a 155 wRC+ since May 1. There's really no question that he is the best Seattle MLB'er going forward.

    The only thing I can think of is the Jays want to abuse Romo's old arm rather than abuse the arm of guys they have in the minors. Otherwise it's as Laika says, the Jays actually think Romo might be better then the stuff in the minors.

    It takes a lot more than health. Even if all 10-12 stay healthy, chances are only 2, 3 if we are lucky, will become valuable MLB'ers.

    That's a shitload of suspensions handed out. So it appears Nevin started a shitball reliever with instructions to hit J-Rod as payback for a high and in pitch to Trout the night before. Missed J-Rod, hit Winker instead. Nevin gets 10 games.
