  1. Espinal gonna pump that all star selection and get $6M minimum
  2. Ya, but I don't think Yuli and NickC should be mentioned in the same breath as the Rocket
  3. Good point about trading two of the 3. The other option is trade one of them not named Moreno, and use Moreno as a C, 2B, 3B, OF. Re-sign the parking lot pervert or something.
  4. You are assuming there is a trade fit involving one of the catchers for pitching. Sometimes you have to make the move that improves the overall team WAR as opposed to addressing specific needs.
  5. Kirk for Thomas and Lawlar? Sign me up!!
  6. Agree 100%. CF has to be a priority. I don't think its a case of choosing SP/RP over CF either. If a fair trade for SP/RP improvements isn't available (and Jays have to rely on in-house prospects and depth signings), a fair trade for a young CF with elite defense is a great alternative.
  7. Yes, Padres starting pitching will soon be worse than Anaheim's. And we know how that team is structured.
  8. Jansen wouldn't be that expensive to extend. If Jansen agrees to a reasonable extension, Kirk is most likely to be traded. It has nothing to do with Kirk having more trade value, but because his current trade value is close to (or actually exceeding) his true value, compared to Jansen and Moreno. i.e., sell high vs. sell low. I honestly don't give a f*** which one they trade, all are MLB starting calibre catchers. I do trust in Shatkins to make the right move.
  9. Koudai Senga is coming to MLB
  10. Why did the Dodgers lose? They didn't execute? Why did the Braves lose? They didn't execute? Why did the Mets lose? They didn't execute? It's just baseball, man, there is relative parity between post season teams and it basically comes down to liners hit right at an OF or into the gap, a fly ball or a bloop, a groundball through the hole, missed call by the umpire, etc. And I'm not going to make any conclusions regarding the Jays based on the game 2 loss, which is ONE f***ing game.
  11. Nah, if the Green vote keeps increasing that will influence policy.
  12. Nah if a business changes its name, its a business decision, nothing more.
  13. You are misrepresenting what I posted. Randomness and Schneider mistakes. Take away one or the other, the Jays win. It's silly to say the Jays didn't execute. Are you saying they didn't give 100%?
  14. I still don't see a point. Are you taking a micro view of things? From a macro view, the Jays are a better team than the Mariners. They lost the series due to randomness and Schneider mistakes. Upsets in baseball, and there have been a lot of them this year, are mainly due to short series volatility / statistical noise.
  15. Prospects will break your heart. I don't see enough elite performers in that group. You should be looking to move 3/4 of the lower level prospects for a player or players worthy of HOF consideration.
  16. Maybe 2025, 2026 more likely
  17. Not true, it was blamed on a combination of randomness and bad moves by Schneider.
  18. petekim for GM
  19. Strider has had his share of blow up games this season. Seems like either a gem or a dud with him.
  20. Stott again. 58 wRC+ in the 1st half, 106 in the 2nd. Look for this guy to break out in 2023.
