    I also don't see JJ back, but I didn't see them making the trades they made last offseason either, we'll have to wait and see. I was thinking they could sign a F/A or 2 with back-loaded deals since they'll have some room in 2016. Who knows.

    Yup. Janssen could bring back a player, hopefully a MIF. It would be nice if they could get rid of Cabrera's salary, but that's wishful thinking. I think they'll bet on him rebounding on a contract year. Basically, they'll need huge turnarounds from JJ, if back, Morrow, Dickey, Cabrera and Lawrie. Not likely that they all stay healthy. If they're gonna go with the same pitching staff, I'd rather they focus on the D first and foremost at C and 2B/SS. If Lind is not back and they don't sign a legit DH, I'd rather they DH Cabrera and put Gose/Davis or Pillar in LF to be honest. Defense has hurt this team A LOT. I wonder how feasible a Choo signing would be with a back-loaded contract.

    I suspect they'll make a couple of trades involving guys who're making some coin. I'd like to see JJ back, but I doubt he'll want to come back. I think he'll take a 1 year deal with an NL team. I'd like to see them improve the D at C and 2b/SS (if Reyes accepts a move to 2b). I could see Lind and Janssen traded after picking up their options.

    It'll really be like 120M because Romero will be in the minors and Morrow will be recuperating form TJS.

    Should've continued building the team through the draft and getting guys like Escobar and Rasmus. Oh well, too late now.

    Ended up going 5IP, 3H, 0BB and 7K. Great start. He's making good progress, especially after the rough start. He should be in Dunedin next year and could make it to AA if he pitches well and could move up there with Sanchez/Osuna as far as top org. prospects.

    Yeah, I read you, but how many teams actually have a need for him? It was a very quiet trade deadline. I'm all for trading some of the relievers, but I think we're all pretty freakin' frustrated with this s***** season that we're probably overreacting.

    I'm glad AA didn't get bent so I'm happy they did nothing. On the other hand, there can still be trades in August and in the offseason.

    I never understood why it took Aviles and Gomes to get a guy like Rogers. Now, yes, Rogers has given the Blue Jays some quality starts, but I don't think that's relevant to the issue of what it took to get him from Cleveland. Looks to me like AA overpaid again. Would Gomes be a better backup than Blanco/Thole? It looks like it, but then again, he can't catch the knuckleball. Once we get into the issue of the backup catcher having to be able to catch the knuckler, it opens up more questions about AA's inability to negotiate a better deal with Alderson given that the Jays had to limit themselves to having to find a catcher who can catch the knuckleball. Anyway.....

    Rogers bank account had a withdrawal of 30M though, maybe that's part of the deal.

    AA has been (thankfully) told not to make any transactions until his position is reviewed. He can't even DFA anyone right now, he must be stuffing his face instead.

    Maybe they'll trade Rondon to the Blue Jays for Aaron Sanchez.

    I would've thought that they would've been better off getting Iglesias as well. Anyway...
