If the team has been as bad at drafting/developing over AA's tenure, then why are we so upset at the gutting of the farm system last year? And don't get me wrong, I've lost my trust in AA, but if they were so bad at drafting and developing, they wouldn't have had such a highly ranked system. I would've been perfectly content with keeping the prospects they traded away and wait for the horrible farm system to start graduating guys. Guys like d'Arnaud, Syndergaard, Nicolino, to name a few, were doing just fine while in the Blue Jays system, it's not like they were struggling and finally put it all together once they joined the Marlins and Mets orgs. How about Lawrie? Lawrie didn't struggle in the Jays system, in fact, his defense was supposed to be his weakness and he developed that just fine.
I'm not saying the Jays are the Rays or Cards, but I think there's some exaggerating going on.
