  1. Yup, you hit on a couple of these high ceiling guys and you're set for a good while....unless you trade them for some old trick-pitcher.
  2. LOL, if that was a Blue Jays pitcher with Navarro catching, this board would be all over him for not helping out the pitcher.
  3. Another close pitch and McCann not helping his pitcher, make it 2 to walk EE.
  4. How did McCann not frame that 3-0 pitch to Lind? Looked pretty good.
  5. I disagree, I think it would've hit about half a foot below the top of the wall if not for Rasmus's glove. Anyway, too late now.
  6. The fact that he's LHP like Norris makes me hopeful that they can help him figure things out.
  7. Did anyone catch the speed on that k pitch to Gardner? It looked like a fastball since it moved back over the plate as opposed to a cutter which would've moved towards the opposite side.
  8. It's just that it's annoying all the complaining about the guy man. Kratz sure didn't help Happ yesterday...anyway, let's enjoy the game.
  9. s***, if only Kratz had helped Happ a little more, Jays would be in good position to win their 2nd in a row.
  10. He helped him on strike 1 to Ichiro. I guess we only complain about the borderline pitches he doesn't get, but ignore the ones he gets. Anyway, no biggie.
  11. Great framing by Navarro on the first pitch to Ichiro....maybe Kratz showed him a few tricks.
  12. Great start to the game, but f***ing SN, can they stop with the shots of the crowd please!!! It's bad enough I have to watch on mute, what am I supposed to do now, watch with my eyes closed?
  13. You would think getting hit while trying to swing at a pitch way inside, would tell Lawrie that he needs to be more selective, particularly on inside pitches. He was trying to swing at a pitch he couldn't possibly hit and ended up getting hit by it. I guess jumping at the pitch goes hand in hand with his bat wiggling, maybe something like this could finally get him to commit to a quieter stance.
  14. I think I've found the source of the injury jinx: http://jaysjournal.com/2014/06/21/blue-jays-position-players-finally-completely-healthy-colby-rasmus-brett-lawrie/
  15. No, I didn't. We both know that if D'Arnaud and Syndergaard were still with the Jays, you'd be higher on them than you are now that they're no longer Blue Jays. Overpayment is the issue I brought up.
  16. Gose and Pillar IMO. Either way, Gose coming up for sure for the Yanks series.
  17. No official word yet. Some have speculated 3-4 weeks.
  18. Thanks for looking this up. I thought Francisco had contributed quite a bit as had Gose. Tolleson and Kratz as well have been good additions. Interestingly, Tolleson has been better than Logan Forsythe who some here wanted badly. Anyway....
  19. Or something like Syndergaard, D'Arnaud, Buck + for Dickey and Thole.
  20. This is the Blue Jays, remember?
  21. Worded that wrong, should've said 'why get all up in arms about it?'. I don't see a great team, but did pick them to win 85. I don't see the other teams as being that much better where I would say this team just isn't good enough, but to each his own. Anyway....
  22. Are the Orioles, Yanks, Red Sox or Rays in better shape? How about the other teams in the WC race, are they that much better? And if you know that it's not good enough, why even follow it? I think some of you don't realize how close so many teams are to each other. Anyway...
  23. Kratz was acquired. Francisco has contributed since he was called up after Lind went to the DL. SP was not addressed, but they did have a deal with Santana. Too bad those Braves pitchers got injured, but s*** happens. Gose and Pillar contributed with Rasmus out. 2B is still a big issue, but with Francisco at 3B and Lawrie at 2B against RHP and Tolleson against LHP, it hasn't been as big an issue. I do agree that infield depth is a big problem. Carrying 3 catchers and no backup OF is certainly a problem. They need to give Kratz a chance to catch Dickey and send down Thole. Or just send down Kratz.
