Pretty sure I'm rolling out this lineup in the DK milly maker contest, though I reserve the right to modify it another 38 times or so:
Rory McIlroy
Big Dick Vik Hovland
Louis Oosthuizen
Sam Burns
Adam Scott
Max Homa
As you can see, I'm going with the balanced approach this week, which likely goes against the grain at a US Open. So I may be in for a bad time this weekend, but hopefully not.
I really like BDV and Xander as outright bets this week if anyone happens to want my opinion there.
Let us go!
The Rays also have Esteban Quiroz, who continues to lay waste to the minor leagues and should probably be given a chance at some point. No shortage of options.
Fair point, and one I can sympathize with. While none of these lads were as good as Fernandez, I've owned three players that have literally died: Oscar Taveras in BBDL and Yordano Ventura and Tyler Skaggs in LoD. I do wonder what Taveras could've been, though. His BB/K ratio and SwStr% make me think he could've been a star, assuming he started putting the ball in the air a little more.
As much as I'd love to put this feather in my cap, I vehemently disagree. The trade was made May 13th, 2018. I'm not sure if you held on to Clevinger, but here's the output from each guy since:
Clevinger
314.1 IP
26 W
372 K
3.57 K/BB
2.95 ERA
8 fWAR
Glasnow
299 IP
17 W
400 K
3.85 K/BB
3.10 ERA
6.6 fWAR
Franklin Perez turned into literally nothing.
As far as I've seen to date, it's just the Low-A Southeast teams that have the Statcast data linked: Bradenton, Clearwater, Daytona, Dunedin, Fort Myers, Jupiter, Lakeland, Palm Beach, St. Lucie, and Tampa.
Does anyone have a decent 2B, SS, or CF that I could snag off them? I'd prefer to move prospects or picks, but I'm open to an MLB swap if there's a fit. Looking to hang on to my SP.
I decided to roll with an amazing team of Fitzpatrick, Kizzire, Mitchell, Whaley, Hickok, and Johnny Question Marks (John Huh). Let's go!
This will be a very bad time. What a field.
Apparently he got his first shot within the last week, but it was discovered earlier this week that he was a close contact of someone who tested positive. The Tour allowed him to participate in the event, but only if Rahm agreed to be tested every day throughout.
I feel so bad for Rahm, holy f***.
Imagine leading a tournament by 6 strokes after the third round and then an official approaches you at the 18th green to tell you that you tested positive for Covid and have to withdraw.
I went 30/30/30 (Rays/Yanks/Sox) and gave the Orioles 10% for basically existing in the AL East with the Jays and figure that's worth something. And one of these days they'll be competitive again.
