Horrible non-call by the refs, followed by a completely egregious decision by McCarthy to go for it on 4th and 5 on their own 25. There was still time left to get the ball back in better field position. :/

It was back up last year almost a full tick over 2014, FWIW. I'm not sure if he's made any mechanical adjustments along the way, but he would be a nice 'reclamation project'. I wouldn't see the harm in signing him to a cheap 1-year deal. Even if he doesn't pan out, there's just really no risk to absorb. If he pitches well, he could steal a spot in the rotation, or possibly provide a great depth option. Meh, I dunno. I don't feel too strongly about it wither way. I just think there's some potential there, and he could probably be had fairly inexpensively. I don't actually mind the rotation and depth as is, but I feel like another depth addition with some upside would make me feel a whole lot better about going into the season. The only downfall is potentially having to look at his ugly mug, which shouldn't be overlooked entirely.
