    While he has reported some signings in recent memory, I just can't allow myself to become engorged over an unsubstantiated claim. What necessarily makes him different than any of the usual suspects that conveniently use the Jays as the mystery team?

    Yeah, I don't understand this for Cespedes. He would've been better off waiting out the market a little bit longer to see if he could get the big contract. And if not, he could've then signed a 1-year deal to try it again next season. The AAV is pretty tasty though.
