    It's ludicrous. I'd love to see that K rate come down a little, but I have no doubt that he'll always make the necessary adjustments if his current approach doesn't pan out in the bigs. He's a student of the game. I'm pretty excited about his arrival.

    I don't think the Flames could've played any better than they did for, like, 95% of this series. A couple of key undisciplined penalties and weak goals against helped do them in, but they outplayed the Ducks for the majority of the series. It feels so weird to see them out in four. This series could just as easily be in favor of Calgary right now.

    .185 BABIP, though. I do believe that some more development time would probably be preferable, but he did just have a pretty successful and lengthy ST with the Pirates, for what it's worth - and for a prospect, it's probably worth a lot more than a veteran. I'd tend do think that this is just an unlucky stretch more than I think he's being over-matched. I'm sure that given a greater sample size, we'd see his stats normalize. He's obviously not kicking the door down at the moment, but if the Pirates think he's ready, I don't think they'd let two weeks of poor results affect their decision.
