Exactly. It makes no sense to hang on to him, even if all that's offered in return is org filler. At least there's a chance that the org filler could surprise and develop into a star prospect - it's not like it absolutely never happens. Bautista is as good as gone in ten weeks, so the Jays might as well get something for him.

I think the Rays are getting ready to promote Willy Adames to the majors any day now. They've had him play 2B the last couple of days, and that's probably more to do with the fact that Brad Miller suxxxxxxxx, and less to do with the thought that Adames needs to be moved off SS.
