I thought so, too. I know goalies have bad stretches, but that start was ridiculous.

Matthews scored that goal with Karlsson defending. Wow!
  5. Game ends off of an Odor error. How does that punch feel now, stinkface?
  6. I'm so excited. Hope the Jays bring their A-game against the Orioles. The fact that it's one game means anything could happen.
  7. Sure. Send me an offer and let's see what we can agree to.
  8. If anyone is interested in a Centre, let me know. Currently searching for wingers.
  9. I'll take Ennis.
  10. I'll take Ryan Ellis.
  11. I'll take Gaborik.
  12. I'll take Matt Beleskey. BB is next.
  13. I'll take Vlasic. Stall Tactics next.

  17. Gibbons' positives: - Good at managing players (may have learned from his first stint with the Jays) - Decent with platoons, when necessary - Doesn't do too many stupid bunts/IBBs Gibbons' negatives: - Poor bullpen management - Takes way too many replay challenges, even when it's obvious the call won't be overturned - Has trouble adjusting to NL environment As an aside, judging a manager by one-run game record is dumb.
  18. That really sucks for Fielder, but it doesn't shock me.
  19. Gibbons is more of a player's manager than a tactician, IMO. With that said, is the article suggesting his lack of intentional walks as being a bad thing? There are very few situations where it is necessary.
  20. Especially if Musgrove develops into a decent SP.
  21. AA's trade history was basically boom-or-bust. Top 5 (in no order); 1. Donaldson 2. Wells 3. Travis 4. Escobar 5. Morrow Bottom 5: 1. Dickey 2. Frank Francisco (for Napoli) 3. Rogers (for Gomes and Aviles) 4. Reyes 5. Halladay? Hard to judge more recent trades, such as the Tulo and Price deals, but AA loved making the big trades. When they worked, they worked really well. When they didn't, they were bad or horrendous. Edit: I wonder whether the Rasmus trade is considered a win, too. Sure, 2 of his 3 seasons weren't great, but he was a 5+ fWAR player in one of those seasons. The Jays didn't give up much of significance acquiring him, as well.
  22. I guess the Padres value Hansel more than Ubaldo+. Heh. How could I not love this deal for the Jays?

Auston Matthews finally signs an ELC with the Leafs, with max bonuses. Also, the Oilers let go of Tyler Dellow, probably because he told them how stupid they were for trading away Taylor Hall for Adam Larsson.
