On that note, I really hope we don't see playoff expansion anytime soon (but I suspect we well). I think the current format is close to perfect. Being like the NHL/NBA where 50-55% of teas make the playoffs would really hurt my interest in baseball. 0.500 teams getting hot for a month and winning the WS is not interesting.

The amount of butthurt that occurs from the fans when an opposing player has a bit of fun is ridiculous. It's nice to see a player with some personality.

The fist three things on that list are great, and I don't really see a problem with him taking responsibility for his own health and schedule. He's kept himself healthy so far, drone injury aside.
