Everything about hockey is dumb. Did you see the packages the hockey media were throwing around as being possible returns for Karlsson? It was like Point or Sergachev + multiple 1sts/prospects. That’s an insane return for 1.5 years of team control.

Looks like Ottawa's rebuild consists of swapping Phaneuf for Gaborik and selling Derick Brassard.

I've seen both the last two years. Ottawa had no business being in OT in game 7 of the ECF last year.

It’s a symptom of the NHL being a pathetic joke league with way too much parity. Winning has been cheapened beyond any value.

I kind of like the Ottawa return for Brassard: 2018 PIT 1st Filip Gustavsson 2020 COL 3rd Nick Moutrey The org might be a flaming pile of s***, but that seems reasonable.
