I don't see why you don't give Morales a couple months. If he's a 110-120 wRC+ guy again, he's a fine DH and should be retained.

Switch-hitter who can play every day and will probably provide 2-3 fWAR, on a 1-year deal for 5M is insane. Are publicly-available WAR models just completely broken, and Walker is actually not a good player? Or did 29 teams just let the Yankees get this bargain for unknown reasons?

Yankees scoop Neil Walker up for 1 year 5M while the Jake McGees of the world are getting deals for 3/27. This market doesn't seem rational at all.

Meh. I looked at him, but you're looking at rostering him at least through next year's cut before you can hope he provides anything. I'd only do that for a super high end pitching prospect.
