  1. If the Yankees lose this they should feel like.....really bad.
  2. Many players play through injuries during the year, Trout, Ortiz and Choo are big ones that I can remember. Furthermore, the only time IIRC that Donaldson played thru an injury was the end of last year. Which also was unrelated to the injury he had this year. So I dunno, his track record injury risk is pretty good.
  3. Recurring injuries? You mean that this year is the first time he actually missed significant playing time due to injuries?
  4. "Buck Showalter's genius saved this team from the basement until the very last game of the year! Give him a lifetime contract!"
  5. That's it. For a fun little trivia, with Osuna's 39th save on the year that is the 2nd most in a season in franchise history.
  6. If that actually gets it done I would be ecstatic.
  7. Obviously not. That would make absolutely no sense on the part of the Dodgers. And De Leon is in the Rays org.
  8. Personally I'm staying far away from O'Neill as possible.
  9. The year of 3 outcomes.
  10. Carrasco just struck out his 14th batter of the game in the 9th inning to hit 200 IP on the season. Left to a standing O it got LOUD. These fans know baseball. Met so many cool people here.
  11. Keibert Ruiz getting some love.
  12. Joe Carter/Tony Batista award winner.
  13. I think so? In 2002 IIRC it became available to the public. Either that or FIP.
  14. It was funny, I was at the Indians game last night and they're playing the highlights of this game and the whIle ballpark erupted into an ovation. It was pretty neat!
  15. Prime Grady Sizemore was a monster. Too bad injuries destroyed his career.
  16. I guess you could argue the entertainment comes from the shock factor of a mediocre team like the Twins beating any of the superpowers in the AL. Which I can understand normally. But the Twins this year are just so.....boring.
  17. I agree, but they're close. Either could win and I'd have no problems with it.
  18. Marlins: Stanton, Ozuna, Bour and a whoooole lotta s***.
  19. That whole inning gave me goosebumps.
  20. Yeah, it didn't sound right off the bat.
  21. http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/how-financial-security-for-minor-leaguers-would-benefit-everyone/ I feel like this is a good thing to bring up again, how minor league players are woefully under-budgeted to provide for themselves. I felt like the use of the heirarchy of needs of "realizing one's potential" was used literally which made me cringe, but this problem seems to becoming more aware. Does someone know if the Jays are one of the franchises starting to provide for their minor leagues with proper allowances?
  22. I'll say this again, if he has a different approach that makes him a better hitter with RISP, then it would only make sense he does it all the time.
