  1. Taylor is a super utility guy, but by the projections estimate he's spends most of his time in the OF McCormick is very much a 4th OF, Brantley, Meyers and Tucker have the other positions locked up. Meadows and Sheets are fair, probably the DH, they'll platoon with Diaz and Vaughan most likely. I agree Grichuk is a decent 4th OF, especially since the WAR difference between all those guys are really close anyway.
  2. The only prominent guys on that team that weren't *******s were probably Edwin, Dickey and Estrada
  3. Randal Grichuk is projected for about 1 WAR Teams that have an obviously better 4th OF by the projections: Rays: Austin Meadows White Sox: Gavin Sheets Astros: Chas McCormick Dodgers: Chris Taylor Giants: Austin Slater (this one's close) Jarren Duran, Oscar Mercado, Tyrone Taylor don't project as much, but it's easy to see them being better than Grichuk
  4. I'm not too surprised. Cleveland is (understandably) asking for the moon for Ramirez.
  5. I would argue that this team going into 2022 is the best Jays team that I can remember. I've been looking how this one compares to the 2015 Jays team (August onward) 2022 Blue Jays (so far) vs 2015 Blue Jays 1B Vladimir Guerrero Jr ---- Chris Colabello 2B Cavan Biggio ---- Ryan Goins 3B Matt Chapman ---- Josh Donaldson SS Bo Bichette ---- Troy Tulowitzki RF Teoscar Hernandez ---- Jose Bautista CF George Springer ---- Kevin Pillar LF Lourdes Gurriel Jr ---- Ben Revere C Danny Jansen ---- Russell Martin DH Alejandro Kirk ---- Edwin Encarnacion Bench: Santiago Espinal ---- Chris Colabello Randal Grichuk ---- Dioner Navarro Reese McGuire ---- Ezequiel Carrera Greg Bird ---- Josh Thole Josh Palacios ---- Dalton Pompey Rotation Kevin Gausman ---- David Price Jose Berrios ---- Marcus Stroman Alek Manoah ---- Marco Estrada Hyun-Jin Ryu ---- R.A. Dickey Yusei Kikuchi ---- Mark Buerhle Bullpen Jordan Romano ---- Roberto Osuna Nate Pearson ---- Aaron Sanchez Tim Mayza ---- Liam Hendriks Adam Cimber ---- Brett Cecil Yimi Garcia ---- Aaron Loup Trevor Richards ---- Mark Lowe Julian Merryweather ---- LaTroy Hawkins Ross Stripling ---- Ryan Tepera Ryan Borucki ---- Drew Hutchison Jose De Leon ---- Bo Schultz This team has obviously more quality pitching, but the 2015 team appears more top heavy. Thoughts?
  6. This is easily the worst take on this thread.
  7. I hope not, it seems really early to trade him IMO. Guessing Jimenez is the other piece.
  8. I could not be more flaccid right now, when Baerga broke the Semien signing, that was plausible. This one much less so. Strong doubt
  9. I know, it's such a ridiculous concept that an independent worker is owed a courtesy call for a time sensitive issue. He's not even employed by them anymore.
  10. Future ace Ryan Cusick going to the A's, massive!
  11. Kind of agree with this take.
  12. I mean ehhh, he's fine as a fifth starter. At least this adds indirectly adds depth to the bullpen.
  13. Honestly, if Canada ever goes up against Italy in the world cup, I hope Italy gets absolutely curb stomped. The entertainment will be immense.
  14. Tbf, he was getting massive before the Astros scandal, but that video certainly helped.
  15. I remember that, it was shortly after opening series (after he hit a HR off Verlander) and we all thought we had Carlos Delgado 2.0
  16. Splitter usage increased.
  17. What a f***ing steal!!!!! I'd bet Ray signs for more, and I've rather have Gausman at this price. Holy s***
  18. This is shaping up to be like 2011 on amphetamines.
  19. Reminds me of this:
