  1. The Jays have had some gut wrenching losses this year, but nothing come close to the debacle that the Mariners had today. Edit: The Mariners had a 99.8% win probability in the 6th LMAOOOO
  2. He will then get claimed by Tampa Bay, where he will dominate with a 15.69 K/9
  3. B Got players that improve the team quantifiably. Added some much needed depth. Didn't give up the top end of the farm to do so. Bass and Pop particularly should be really useful. Only thing that would've given them an A would be getting a reliable K guy out of the bullpen.
  4. That was the joke.
  5. I thought they wanted to extend his minors rehab stint.
  6. You also run the risk of realizing that Groshans just sucks and then he has absolutely zero value. Similar to Austin Martin. The hometown bias is really strong, if he came from another org, he'd be labelled as trash.
  7. The Yankees paid good prospects to get the players they got, they had a lot more capital to choose from than we did.
  8. Bro did you see what the Yankees gave up for Benintendi? Or for Effross? Frasso was probably not gonna be a top 100 guy. All of those guys have similar profiles/value to Frasso. That's just the market this year. Sure it sucks, but Frasso is 23 in A ball and already has a concerning injury history.
  9. Merrifield projects to be a league average bat, with plus fielding and baserunning, for 7 million this year and next. He has an fWAR of 0.6 and projects to finish the year with nearly twice that amount Lol that's not a negative asset dude, he's a valuable utility piece that good teams need in case of injuries.
  10. Agree, White is very likely better going forward as well. Syndergaard has gotten hit harder this year and the stuff has fallen so far off a cliff. White is younger, statcast pitch metrics are better and is under control.
  11. Who did the Jays get that was a negative asset?
  12. Eh, probably not
  13. Merrifield plays all over the diamond His statcast numbers indicate a plus outfielder and competent 2nd baseman. He also isn't absolute s*** behind the plate, and a borderline elite baserunner He's an important depth piece that all contending teams should have. Especially if someone like Springer is out for some time. This is a great trade.
  14. The numbers and velo tick up in the bullpen, could be an effective reliever with ability to start
  15. Oh he's crying, must mean he cracks under pressure
  16. I see MLB really trying to turn their draft into their NBA equivalent.
  17. I have no idea whom any of the players in the draft, let alone whom the Jays should be taking. Therefore, I will still be voicing my staunch opinions
  18. That inning was the perfect summation of the offense so far this season. Jesus f***ing Christ...
  19. It's like watching Henderson Alvarez pitch all over again.
  20. Berrios has looked awful so far, he hasn't got any swings and misses, it was a matter of time someone got on a mistake.
