Moves like these started since last year, the Happ deal, the Snider deal, Thames deal (not saying they were really bad) those looked like indicators to AA panicking, now the same thing is happening...on a much more radical scale.
Exactly this.
I'd be down to take a flyer on Javier Vazquez though, since Oswalt isn't an option. However to fatcow, HELL NO on Pavano, they guy just isn't good. Can you imagine his atrocious HR rates playing full time at the Rogers Centre?
Glen Perkins is a pretty cool guy. Eh, strikes guys out, likes math and doesn't afraid of anything.

I hate to talk about this kinda thing but that feeling you get that it's over when a guy steps into the 9th inning. I've been getting that with Casey for the past year now, especially since the start of this year. It's not a matter of if he closes out the game, it's how.
He's pitching in Nevada right now. Stats are pretty good, averages 7 and a third inning per start.

Maybe cause his control is no sure thing. Kyle Drabek is a prime example of this. Is he just throwing strikes or actually spotting his pitches?
Doesn't need to be said that he's facing A ball hitters. That's such a ridiculously huge margin of talent below the ML.
Overpaid veteran in the decline of his career.
Amaro will sign that deal right after he cleans up the mess in his pants.
Forget Halladay though, he's damaged goods at this point.
