I think Smith's ceiling is a 1st division starter personally, if I guy can hit nearly .300 with a good plate discipline and above average power, you don't see guys like that on the bench on top-tier teams.
Furthermore, I've yet to see one scouting report of him being a butcher in a corner outfield spot, granted he's not a fast runner, but I really don't think this organization undervalues athleticism, god forbid that I hope that the org keeps one of the few guys with a promising hit tool.
Also, I'm not s***ing on Davis, I'm pointing out the fact that so many times hitting prospects reach higher levels, when they suddenly find they can't hit a decent curveball. You'll find it out that proximity to the majors is a thing.
