    Well the matchup certainly favours the Red Sox today. If the Jays win and Rays lose, it's going to be an almost insurmountable lead for the Rays to overcome (not impossible, but highly unlikely).

    Keep Dickey and Buehrle on regular rest, they are our big inning eaters and we need them to help save the pen. Hutch should be given extra days to try and preserve his arm for later in the season. I would love to see them skip a start of his a couple times this season as well. It's nice to want to win, but we can't just burn him out when he is one of our few good young arms.

    This team can wait it out until closer to the deadline. I don't see the immediate rush considering what we just saw from Stroman.

    I don't believe his height will be a factor. That slider alone was just filthy and he has a good fastball. If he can locate that fastball he will be making hitters look silly when he mixes in the slider.

    Yeah it was really pathetic to be honest. I didn't even look at the forum after the first loss knowing it would be a gong show. Some people just don't get that elite teams lose 40% of their games and yet the Jays go on a 19-5 run and then lose 2 in a row and it's the end of the world?

    That's just it, the team has a lot of followers, it just isn't reflected at the gates right now.

    You can't really control who posts what in any thread. Both threads had different agendas and both we're seeing great activity levels.

    Yeah I could see Boston emerging, but at this rate, 90 wins seems like an extreme long shot for them. They would have to play .600 ball the rest of the season and I don't think they are good enough to do that.
