  1. I’d rather gamble on price contract and try to gear towards a wild card spot. The timing of the dollars works well with all the younger players.
  2. Offseason not done yet. Could be more to come. Wouldn’t be surprised to see at least one more unexpected move. Do they dare try to go for Price as well? Financially all of this fits in well moving forward.
  3. No one can say this front office hasn’t signed anyone anymore. Solid move considering the financial flexibility moving forward.
  4. OMFG!! It’s happening!!!!

I was at the game. Biggest comeback in franchise history. That fourth quarter D was absolutely filthy.

    And still getting better.
  8. Good signing. The rotation has improved and that’s a step forward towards building a winning culture for the younger players to transition into. Not really sure what a lot of people expect this offseason when we are nowhere near contention. If the young players take a another step forward the coming season then perhaps some top tier free agents might see this as a viable destination.

How good is OG defensively? This man is on another level.

It’s going to be interesting to see how minutes play out when Lowry and Ibaka are back. Definitely a good position for Nurse to be in.

Pascal may very well win MIP again this season. Nurse will likely be a heavy contender for COTY.
  12. It’s nonsensical when you fail to evaluate the added benefit to the team. We are not looking at replacing any good SP. Odorizzi would be our best SP (assuming nothing else is added) and would be replacing absolute junk. He’s not the bridge to a championship, but he may very well be a solid bridge to get us over the next hump on route to contention.

Hollis-Jefferson wants minutes. Raps gonna have a good problem when this team is healthy.
  14. It’s not the end of the world, it’s just nonsensical logic. The team is in a position to take a huge step forward and while Odorizzi is not the sexiest name on the market, he still improves this rotation quite significantly considering what we have. A 3 year deal is a solid bridge and won’t hurt this team financially long term.

A lot of credit has to be thrown at Nurse. He has a system and this team isn’t missing a beat. Granted we ain’t doing this nightly without Lowry and Ibaka, but the but there is still a ton of growth ahead for this team. Exciting time to be a raptors fan for sure.

The scary/exciting part is that he still has so much growth in his game. The defence is already great, and he is showing A lot of confidence in his offensive ability as well.
  18. Rotating DH is the best move for this team next season. Will give plenty of opportunity to let the kids stay in the lineup even when they are not on the field. Let’s face it this team shouldn’t be entering the mindset of contending next season with the state of this roster. Looking to bridge until 2021 when we might have sufficient number of pieces to compete and payroll flexibility makes much more sense.

There is no reason to take on a bad contract at this point. Draft picks are great, but this team should still win 45 at the minimum, discounting any major injuries ovcourse. I expect this to be a low 50 win team that enters the playoffs with a good seed and at least makes it to the second round. I don’t expect a finals visit, but playoffs with a bunch of expiring contracts and a ton of cap space after just winning a title is an excellent position to be in. We all wish Kawhi signed, but he didn’t win it on his own, he came to an already very good team that was missing a true leader. We have some key young pieces to build the next team around and this front office seems very capable of getting us into serious contention very quickly. They may very well trade for a bad contract and bring in a Westbrook, but we really don’t need too when we can still be playoff bound this coming season and then be able to strengthen the team the following two season with all the cap space.

That is absurd if true. I have had the most random people talk to me about this playoff run, people I couldn’t imagine having any interest in the raptors. It’s great that they were able to captivate an entire country.

  23. I don’t think he gets called up until May. I’m going to say May 1st on the road against the Angels.
  24. Yup. Took a shot on him in the Tank because of that.
