    lol I know what your saying. I get the term protect the plate especially if the umps been calling a certain spot all night. From what I've seen though JB and JD do seem to be right about a lot of the balls against them that are being called strikes. No point in protecting the plate if you're right.

    Fair enough with EE. I'm well aware of his past and that he had loads of talent. But JB no one saw that coming not even Cito. Cito thought maybe 30 homers not one of the top hitters of the last 6 years.

    O I know. I'm not defending having Paredes. All I was saying was that stats aren't going to tell you who the next JB and EE are. He made it sound like there is data to show us that.

    There was nothing to suggest prior that JB and EE were ever going to be this good. So really he could be the third coming for all we know.

    If you resign Dickey just trade everyone and make Dickey be the ace. Were guaranteed first pick in the draft than. We'd probably screw up first pick anyways.

    The Jays are going to need to go on one hell of a streak now if they are going to want to be in this. Baltimore and Red Sox are actually doing something this year where last year it was only the Yankees they had to pass. Unless we are going for the second wild card I'm not sure if its worth it. Trading players for some prospects to help with the loss of EE and JB next year would help the rebuilding process.
