    I do agree with you that they are babying players way to much, but to be fair athletes don’t just take the offseason off. They still need to train and the ones that don’t it usually shows when they have a s***** year. And lots of them do promotional and charity work for the team in the offseason.

    I’ve been a Toronto Leafs, Raps and Jays fan since the early 2000’s, I live in Regina. To be fair though I’ve loved the city since I first visited there and would much rather be living there than this s*** hole haha. And yah most of my life growing up here, basketball and baseball were always “gay” but when both teams(raps and jays) got good, those same people that said that are all of a sudden huge fans.

    My understanding was that this was aboit who we hated to watch hit, not the most overrated Jay? WAR totals could play a factor but doesn’t mean just because one had 10 WAR and one had 7 WAR I should hate one more.

    Ichiro retires in style! Congrats to Ichiro and glad he had a chance to walk off the field in Japan. Classy player and overall just a good guy. Feel old as s*** as when I first started following MLB Ichiro was dominating.

    You have to wonder what Vlads ultimate goal is. We know money is not an issue for him as his dad made 125 million in his career. Is signing an extension that big of a deal for him or is playing on a contender Vlads main goal?

    Happy to see Mike Trout get this payday but on a baseball level I wish he went to a team that was better managed. Probably never get to see Trout in the Workd Series now haha

    Doesn’t look like a hotdog he said that the meat was on a stick and sold at a sidewalk vendor(like a hotdog vendor) He said they’re strays everywhere and thats what they cook. They have domesticated dogs down there and strays. I did ask him if they’re sold by breed he said no lol just random dog to eat haha.

    I have an Asian friend who went to Asia to visit(was born in Sask) and in a place near Hong Kong(can’t remember the place) they sell dog on the streets like a hotdog stand. He tried it, said it basically taste like chicken, wasn’t bad.

    It’s still a pretty big let down to every kid that grew up watching Halladay pitch for crap Jays teams. He was the one thing we could cheer about. Yah he’s still going into the Hall but he should be a Jay not just a “baseball player.”

    It’s not all the owners faults. Reports are Kris Bryant turned down an extension worthbover 200 million to hopefully make more. Harper turned down 300 million. Grandal turned down 60 million with the Mets. Harvey turned down an extension in 2016. Keuchel turned down 90 million in 2016. Probably many more out there as well but players are greedy and expecting more. They take the risk and it eithers pays off or it doesn’t.
