  1. This guy seems to be pretty good at his job
  2. Ron Washington saved himself the embarrassment of being fired by quitting.
  3. Yeah he should have been my #1 pick and he actually deserves to be fired The problem is his team keeps winning despite him. LOL
  4. Brad Ausmus is my #1 pick And I think a decent chance Don Mattingly is gone too
  5. Already fired: Kirk Gibson, Ron Gardenhire, Dusty Baker Predict who else gets canned and we will post news about it here instead of around baseball
  6. I give the Red Sox a pass because, well... they won the WS last year, they have a lot of good young talent that underperformed this year, and they appropriately jettisoned payroll mid season. And I trust their FO to make impact FA signings in the off season. Dodgers keep underperforming every year despite all that money. Hard to explain. Let's hear from the "team chemistry" people Phillies are a disgrace. They had no business keeping all their vets the past 2 years. They are doomed for a decade. Tigers had a good looking team mid season, with one glaring problem (bullpen) and they failed to fix it at the trade deadline. Shame on them. Yankees I cut *some* slack because they were unlucky with injuries to the SP. But they are also too old and not enough offense. The money is no longer covering up the holes well enough but "they tried", if you think that matters
  7. A pretty bad year for spending big and going deep in the playoffs Dodgers opening day: $ 241,128,402 - Lost in NLDS Yankees opening day: $ 208,830,659 - Added payroll, did not make post season Phillies opening day:$ 179,521,056 - LOL Tigers opening day: $ 163,078,526 - Added payroll, lost in ALDS Red Sox opening day $ 154,380,395 - Shed payroll, did not make post season Wanted to add end of season payroll but can't seem to find easily... http://www.businessinsider.com/chart-payroll-mlb-playoff-teams-2014-10
  8. OTOH we don't really have the right to troll anyone. Our team blows. LOL
  9. Today seems like a good time to troll the Angels board?? Just sayin'. LOL
  10. That's actually pretty interesting. Dodgers like their star power but yes have too many overpaid outfielders. That could work on both ends. You're presuming they don't want to keep Hanley Ramirez or that they move him or Reyes from short?
  11. Want Nats to tie it up in the bottom
  12. Getting close to post season record for innings and time here
  13. He's too busy making movies http://www.hdwallpapers.in/walls/machete_kills_2013_movie-wide.jpg
  14. We already did that. Twice. It was painful. (I know you were being sarcastic)
  15. LOL Imagine how different things might have gone if Ricky had remained a legit #2 caliber starter. Would have had so many implications for the team and AA. Prob would not have traded for Josh Johnson or Dickey. So yeah, FU Ricky
  16. Yes. In 2016 Ricky Romero will be pitching for the Angels or Dodgers AAA affiliate and will save us 7.5 million dollars. Thank you Ricky.
  17. All that said, I think we should keep both, but consider trading one mid season next year IF the kids are working out as hoped.
  18. Dickey looked really good this year for most of the season, is guaranteed to eat innings, and is set to make only 12M for 2015 and 2016 (club option with cheap buyout). I think lots of teams would be interested in that. Including many NL teams. Buerhle is no better in terms of.pitching performance, and costs 7M more for one season, then could be extended or qualified. As dependable as Buerhle is, Dickey is a better value.
  19. Did he meet his player option requirements??? *$15,000,000 $15M Player Option player option for 2015 if he 1) has 400 IP in 2013-14, including 190 IP in 2014, and 2) is not on the disabled list at the end of the 2014 season Edit: No he didn't. Not enough IP in 2013. So he's a free agent and can't be qualified. Good target for several teams.
