  1. I'm guessing they see him as a longman out of the pen and would be first in line to start if someone lands on the DL.
  2. Pillar really should make a solid 4th OF at worst
  3. Have to admit - Pillar is growing on me
  4. We (and this thread) require real baseball
  5. I don't think Maddon would stand for the front office trying to start him in the minors this year (re. Bryant)
  6. Pitchers hurt arms from pitching Pitchers hurt knees from doing infield practice (Stroman) and shagging fly balls during batting practice (Mo). Such a freaky bad luck thing...
  7. Will the Cubs finally be good this year or do they need another year or two to mature these guys?
  8. Bryant wasn't supposed to play yesterday due to sore shoulder. He came in a sub during the game and hit 2 home runs. LOL http://m.mlb.com/news/article/112719210/after-being-scratched-cubs-kris-bryant-hits-two-homers
  9. And get to play in the post season
  10. Yes because that outweighs the on-field upgrade he is compared to Navarro and JPA
  11. Yeah they pretty much need him to make the team. I'm not willing to count on both Estrada and Sanchez to win and then hang on to starting jobs.
  12. Have not seen Norris pitch once this spring. Want to see.
  13. I'm gonna watch with my son for once
  14. Overbay was probably the last?
  15. Osuna Hutch Drabek (2 times) Hoffman Am I missing any? Is that an unusual or typical number of pitchers in the organization to have had TJS?
  16. Yeah I think he needs to get one more established BP arm. He probably did even before Stroman got hurt. Is it too late?
  17. That's what I was afraid of
  18. Agree as long as Gibbons is willing to use Cecil (his "closer") if/when a situation arises before the 9th where using him makes the most sense. I don't want him alwats "saving" Cecil for the 9th (where he might not even be needed) if a situation/matchup arises earlier where using your best lefty makes sense strategically.
