  1. Sweet. Real lineup. Interesting pitchers. On TV. Kick ass.
  2. I believe you are first in with this Just noting for the record cause you will be copied
  3. What? A Blue Jays radio or TV announcer over reacting??? Have never heard of such a thing. LOL
  4. I'm liking what Norris is doing
  5. That's not a bad idea either. But if Norris looks like the best pitcher among him, Sanchez and Estrada, you just have to have him on the team to start the year
  6. I have no problem with this given the situation the Stroman injury has put us in If Sanchez and Norris both somehow work out well in the rotation (rather unlikely but possible) then we're golden. If one of them falters (much more likely) then Estrada or Santana can step in and we can option the underperformer to the minor leagues.
  7. I made food thread in the off topic session last year
  8. f***. We used to be so jealous of Oakland and Tampa because they always had these good young arms that kept coming up and being successful. That could now be us for a change. Let's be happy about it.
  9. Exactly. We have some great young arms and more than expected are looking potentially MLB ready. What is there to complain about?
  10. And Stroman. And several pitchers in the Tampa and St. Louis organizations.
  11. Prob true. And the Stroman injury has obviously forced their hand. If they view Sanchez as a starter then right now they should be treating him as one and they are. Whether it works out we'll have to wait and see of course... Here's hoping Santana declares himself as useful by late April. That would sure help. But I'm not holding my breath. When/where will he be pitching anyway????
  12. Aggressive early decision making by Gibbons
  13. Yes. It's more the hit tool and the baseball IQ. Gose is faster but Pompey already seems like a better base runner and his hitting looks far superior. Gose has a bit more range in the OF (his range is absolutely ridiculous) but I can't see him ever hitting half as well as Pompey based on all their minor league data.
  14. LOL yep Jab the knee in late April
  15. Is there ANY reasonable chance that Gose becomes a better overall player than Pompey?? I can't see it personally.
  16. Also we acquired top quality players at 3B and catcher. Something bad obviously had to happen to balance it out. The baseball gods are nasty.

  19. I had presumed he was retired. Wasn't he literally the worst pitcher with in baseball with a reasonable amount of innings about 2 years ago??
  20. Oh no...
  21. MLB.com: Starting pitcher Zack Wheeler has been diagnosed with a completely torn ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow, the team announced Monday, making Tommy John surgery inevitable. Though the Mets have not committed to the operation, general manager Sandy Alderson described Wheeler's situation as "pretty clear-cut," calling the diagnosis preliminary only because Wheeler has yet to meet with team orthopedist Dr. David Altchek.
