  1. Jays getting Jackson has seemed likely for about 8 years now
  2. So what's the starting rotation if this is it for acquisitions?
  3. See?? Buck Showalter has it all figured out!
  4. 5 years 70 million dollars Desmond is a lucky SOB He signed that deal just before teams stopped giving out 5 year contracts for guys in their 30's who can't play defense
  5. Plus what are they going to do with Desmond now. Move him back to the outfield??
  6. Yes. Players will have dots they have to stand on until the pitcher releases the ball. They're not allowed to shade left or right based on the batter's profile, nor allowed to play deep in a tie game with a runner on base. If they move before the pitch they're offside. 1 ball penalty.
  7. https://deadspin.com/mother-of-addison-russells-child-shares-details-of-mist-1831202751
  8. Enough money to allow him to keep dating supermodels and keep his locker well stocked with sex toys
  9. I didn't know the Orioles had hired their new manager Brandon Hyde
  10. Yeah I recall I bet they just wanted total control of their finances this off season. If he had accepted it they might have had to automatically shed more payroll immediately rather than try to maybe work out a longer term deal with lower AAV or trade him.
  11. Indians wish they'd given Brantley a QO?
  12. Also, I guess this means D'Arnaud's days as a starting catcher are done Is the bat salvageable enough that he could snag some playing time at 1B? I looked him up... Career wRC+ of 96 doesnt really play well at that position so probably not.
  13. Exactly. They stand no chance of being competitive in that division for at LEAST 3-4 years.
  14. Mmm I can certainly understand the reluctance from those two teams They just don't match up well. 2 years of increasingly expensive arbitration Realmuto won't appeal to a rebuilding team, and contenders won't want to trade MLB proven pieces for him unless it's from an excess a certain position. 4 years of Yellich was probably easier to trade
  15. Realmuto has told the Marlins he won't re sign there They're foolish not to trade him for the best offer on the table no matter who the team is
  16. Sign Tulo, trade Russel?
  17. Kinsler to Padres 2 years 8M total
  18. Read again And he will
  19. I'm still hoping so but his walks and FIP were career worsts in 102 IP this year Would love to see him come out strong in 2019
  20. So you hope to position Stroman as a mid rotation starter and Sanchez as an 8th inning guy who has to prove he can stay healthy...
  21. I guess Stroman and Sanchez are seen like Sonny Gray now Had SP 1/2 level heights and some promise but little chance now of being any better than a number 4 on a good team. I'm having a hard time accepting that but it's the truth
  22. Hey, if someone is offering a nice package for either right now then do it
  23. I wouldn't trade Sanchez or Stroman now. Value too low. A good first half for one of them and you probably get more at the trade deadline from a contender who's short a SP. Both have post season experience. Some GMs will like that.
