    TY So yeah... Let him debut mid-late April 2019 and play 3B for an extended period of time. Donaldson is gone, and the team is going to suck next year anyway Let him play 3B all year no matter what, maybe occasional days off to DH. If he plays third acceptably, great. If he doesn't by that point, move him to 1B next off season between 2019/2020.

    Jays look like a 4th place team again on paper going in to 2019 (f*** you Tampa for being decent again) I'm not very enthusiastic about the short term. We need smart free agent signings/trades to improve the rotation and bullpen plus we need multiple prospects to develop as hoped to be really good by 2020/2021. I do agree though that watching a young mediocre team with potential to improve is more fun than watching an old declining team even if they end up with the same W-L record.

    Yeah I woukd have not minded Donaldson accepting rhe qualifying offer Would have made the team better next year and he might have increased his trade value too if you then dealt him mid season That said he probably would have tuned it down just like eveyone else, rightly or wrongly
