    I thought maybe it was also a crutch for lesser quality catchers like Gary Sanchez but it dosn't seem like it. Realmuto does it too along with several other good defensive catchers. It's just a philosophy adopted by some teams I guess.

    Yes That was our rotation the last two months and was clearly the best rotation in the AL East Rays and Yankees had much better bullpens of course

    Yes he probably does. Seems likely to have a full time rotation spot next year. Pearson still has a shot or could evolve to be a late inning RP over the next 1-2 years.
