    Yes 1. I suspect Vlad is proud of his ability to be a solid infielder after all. He worked very hard at it. I would think he likely cares very much about being allowed to play a position going forward. (I don't know this obviously, I'm presuming) 2. These pre-arb guys know they'll get paid way more in arb and free agency if they play a position well rather than being a "1B/DH platoon guy"
